Kaz Routes – Travel Planning & Booking Platform

Kaz Routes is a full-featured digital travel planning and booking platform developed for a Kazakhstan-based Destination Management Company. The platform brings destinations, hotels, restaurants, vehicles and tour packages into one integrated system, allowing travellers to discover services, compare options, create accounts, submit bookings and manage their travel plans through a unified online experience.

Kaz Routes digital travel planning and booking platform for tourism services in Kazakhstan.

Project overview

Kaz Routes was developed as a comprehensive digital travel platform for a Destination Management Company operating in Kazakhstan. Rather than building a conventional tourism website containing only static destination information, the project was structured as a dynamic travel-service platform where multiple categories of tourism products and services can be discovered, compared and booked through a common customer experience.

The platform brings together tourist attractions, accommodation, restaurants, vehicles and tour packages within a unified catalogue. Each service category has its own data structure and filtering requirements. Attractions can be organised by categories and activities, hotels by services and room facilities, restaurants by dining type, and vehicles by characteristics such as fuel type and transmission. This allows users to move from broad travel discovery to more specific options without leaving the platform.

Individual service pages were designed to present information appropriate to each type of travel product. Destination pages contain visitor information, activities, duration and pricing. Hotel pages support multiple room types, facilities, meal arrangements and occupancy pricing. Restaurant pages can present dining categories, menus and individual meal prices, while vehicle pages contain technical specifications, comfort features, safety equipment and rental pricing.

A customer-account system forms another major part of the platform. Travellers can register using account details or use Google-based authentication, sign in to manage their travel activity, recover account access and keep personal information available for future bookings. The platform is designed so bookings and travel-plan requests can be associated with the customer's profile rather than handled as disconnected enquiry forms.

Booking workflows are integrated directly into the relevant service pages. A traveller selecting a hotel, restaurant, tourist attraction, vehicle or package can proceed from discovery to a booking or reservation process associated with their account. This architecture creates a consistent booking experience even though the underlying products have significantly different information and reservation requirements.

The platform also supports custom travel planning as part of the broader customer journey. User registration is specifically designed around managing hotel, restaurant, attraction, vehicle and package bookings together with personalised travel plans, helping move Kaz Routes from a simple catalogue model toward a centralized traveller-service platform.

Considerable attention was given to organising complex tourism data into reusable service structures. Hotels can contain several room products and price configurations, restaurants can contain multiple dishes or menus, destinations can contain activity and visitor-price information, and vehicles maintain separate technical, safety and entertainment specifications. The resulting architecture allows travel inventory to be expanded without redesigning the public website for every new service.

Responsive page structures, category-based discovery, customer authentication, booking workflows, travel planning, contact handling and legal information were brought together into a consistent user experience. The completed platform demonstrates EIH's capability to develop business-oriented web applications in which customer-facing design, structured databases, account management and operational workflows operate as a single digital system.

EIH responsibility

EIH was responsible for the design and development of the Kaz Routes digital platform, including customer-facing interfaces, service catalogue architecture, database-driven content structures, search and filtering functionality, traveller account workflows, booking interfaces and overall system integration. The development scope included structuring tourism data for destinations, hotels, restaurants, tour packages and vehicle services; implementing service-specific detail and booking interfaces; developing user registration and account functionality; integrating authentication workflows; and preparing the application for production deployment. Travel products, commercial rates, hotel information, restaurant information, vehicle inventory, destination content and operational booking fulfilment remain the responsibility of Kaz Routes and its respective tourism-service partners.

How the result was validated

A production-ready travel planning and booking platform was delivered with integrated tourism catalogues, customer accounts, dynamic search and filtering, service-detail interfaces and category-specific booking workflows. Validation covered responsive behaviour, account registration and authentication, password recovery, catalogue navigation, filtering, individual service pages, booking-entry workflows, form handling, content presentation, internal navigation and cross-device usability. Individual travel-product structures were also tested to confirm that hotels, restaurants, attractions, vehicles and packages could maintain their own data requirements while operating through a consistent customer experience.
